Making money online is easy if you have the right skill sets – that’s what everyone is saying.

But what if you don’t have a skill at all OR you’re probably too busy to do any work

Does it mean you can’t make money online?

Well, not exactly!… In this article, I’m going to show you an online business you can do from home to earn $1,000 or more per month without having any skill.

It involves you selling a hot & in-demand service to business owners and clients who desperately need them and are willing to pay for the service.

… You don’t need any experience or special skills to start.

Let’s proceed.

So, the business I’m referring to is called SERVICE ARBITRAGE

It’s similar to freelancing – where you sell services like website design, graphics, video creation to local clients or companies… But in Service Arbitrage, your role is to act as a “middle man” between the client & freelancer.

So your main focus is to find clients, sell your service to your client, then outsource the job to a freelancer… You pay the freelancer after the job is done, deliver to your client and get paid.

Let’s dive in deep and take the process step by step;

Step 1:

I’ll take it that you’re completely new to this, so you don’t have any idea on the kind of service you should be selling.

… the first step is to find a service to sell.

When looking for a service you want to sell, it’s important that you don’t get carried away by your personal preference, NO… Go for services that are hot & in-demand – Services that people actually need.

You’re likely not going to make a dime or earn a big profit if you just offer any service.

So how do you know services that are hot & in-demand?

There are different ways to do this,

You can do a search on Google like – “hottest selling services on Fiverr 2020”…

Another way is to use the Google Keyword Planner tool.

With this tool, you can search for different keywords and see how many searches those keywords get every month. It’ll also show you other keywords that relate to the ones you searched alongside their monthly search result.

With the search result, you’ll be able to know services that are hot & in-demand…

While using the keyword planner, your focus should be on the 2nd & 3rd column – Avg monthly searches & competition…

Based on this tool, the avg search result for any keyword should be between 1k – 10k and competition should be “low”

Step 2:

Next step, we are going to set up a funnel for this business…

This is what the funnel will look like;

Sales Page (Website) >> Lead Capture Page >> Pricing Page >> Thank-You Page.

You can use a page builder like Elementor to set up the different pages in the funnel… Select from the pre-designed template inside Elementor to avoid doing too much work and wasting time.

Don’t forget – Your #1 focus is to find clients. It’s why we are setting up the marketing funnels and landing pages.

After working on our Arbitrage funnel, the next step is to drive traffic to the sales page.

There are two types of traffic;

  • Paid Traffic
  • Free Traffic.

If you have a big budget, you can go with Paid Traffic. It brings results faster and you don’t need to do any hard work… Set up an Ad campaign on Facebook, Google etc and drive traffic to your sales page or website.

If you don’t have a big budget, you can start with Free Traffic.

Although it’s going to require work from you, it’ll still bring results… You can make a post on your FB timeline or groups and add the link of your sales page or website to the post.

Step 3:

Once you start driving traffic to your landing page and collecting leads, the next step is to follow up on your prospects until they make their first order.

The truth is…

Only A VERY few persons will land on your sales page the first time & place an order… Majority of them will opt-in as leads & not take further action.

That’s where follow-up comes in.

You can follow-up leads by sending a series of emails in a SEQUENCE to get them to take action and order your service.

Below is an example of a follow-up email;

You can see it’s short and straight to the point…

It’s good to keep it that way… You’re mailing business owners so you don’t want to waste their time by making them read long emails especially when they’re getting to know you.

… Also,

You shouldn’t send follow-up emails everyday… I’ll recommend you follow this follow-up email plan;

Day 1: First follow-up (2 days after they opt-in)

Day 3: Follow-up

Day 7: Follow-up

Day 14: Follow-up

Day 28: Follow-up

Day 58: Follow-up

… (From then on you can mail once a month).

Step 4 :

Once you’ve gotten your first order, the next step is to find a freelancer that you can outsource the work to.

There are a lot of freelance platforms where you can find freelancers, but I’ll recommend you visit Fiverr.com

Fiverr is an online marketplace where you can purchase services like logo design, website design, video creation etc for as low as $5…

NB: Before you hire a freelancer on Fiverr you’ll need to create an account first

Now, Let’s assume you’re selling a Logo Design Service…

We’ll visit Fiverr and look for a freelance Logo Designer that we can outsource the logo designs to.

Use the filter option, filter by budget and delivery time…

I’ll recommend you set a budget from $5 – $20, then delivery time should be 3 days max…

Before ordering a service from any freelancer on Fiverr, you should check the review first… Ensure it’s not lower than 4.8

You can also see other people’s reviews about that seller…

To ensure that your work is delivered at the due date, check the number of orders that the seller has on queue…If it’s too high, you should go for someone with a lower number to avoid being disappointed by your freelancer.

To order service on Fiverr, click on the green button on the left sidebar, It’ll take you to the checkout page. Enter your card details & complete your order.

If you need to enquire from the seller concerning anything, you can click on the button below the green one and contact the seller.

Step 5:

This is the final step…

Once the freelancer delivers the logo design, you review the work and you’re satisfied with it,

The next step is to deliver the finished work to your client and confirm that your client is happy with the work… If there is A pending payment, you collect it.

You can also ask your client for testimonials and referrals…

Now let’s do a QUICK CALCULATION…

A logo design normally costs between $150 – $250…

Let’s assume you charge clients $100 per logo design and you spend $10 to outsource the work to a freelancer.

That’s $100 – $10 = $90

Your profit from having one client is $90…

$90 is quite small, but imagine getting 10 orders to design a logo for clients and you charge $100 per client.

That brings the profit to $900 ($90 x 10)…

That’s $900 in cold cash without having any design skill and without doing any work.

In my opinion – considering how much you charge per logo design, 10 orders per month is small..

You can get up to 20 orders in one month… You just need to focus on driving traffic to your sales page and converting leads to customers.
